It all started in 1991 when I answered an ad in the local newspaper for someone to “help” with a kite festival for Northampton County. You guessed it - help? No! I wound up setting it up with friends and neighbors (Paul & Tina Keeler among them) built all the kite kits for kids and games for all. |

Now a bunch of years later and after forming the Lehigh Valley Kite Society, we are still going strong, presenting a beautiful sky for young and old alike. We still have the kids kite building at no charge, under the tutelage of Tony Reiser, who has orchestrated over 15,000 kites built for kids in these past 12 years.

We still have kite games for kids and adults with nice prizes and no entry fees. We still have parachuting Teddybears and candy drops throughout the day for the kids (wind permitting). Our baked goods and grilled lunches are superb. Our LVKS logo tees, sweats and golfshirts, the best and inexpensive kites and wind toys (for sale) are more than accommodating. |

Think about making the trip to the Lehigh Valley for the best festival of its size (about 3,000 folks) on the East Coast. Come play with us on the first Saturday in May from 10AM to 4PM at Louise Moore Park, off Route 33, just north of route 22 on Country Club Road.
